Description

I wanted a decent PC for gaming but didn't want to break the bank with it. It's taken me a long time to finally get all the parts (the case I got 2 years ago with a great black Friday deal). So since then I've been tweaking my list and waiting for good deals on parts I wanted. I was torn between an AMD build and Intel but Intel won it for me. Since buying a lot of the parts, the prices of memory and GPUs have jumped up a lot so in the end I got a pretty decent machine for a good price.

This was very fun to make and it's been a while since I've put my own machine together so It was good to get back into it. The case is small and fit my mATX nicely but it was a pain at times to work in a small space, but with some thought I managed to get it all in there comfortably. Cable management is not as neat as I would like but not terrible. The CPU air cooler was very fiddly to fit and probably a bit overkill but I got a good deal on it and I love the look. I replaced the stock chassis fans that came with the case with some quieter ARCTIC ones to match the CPU cooler. The fan at the bottom brings in cool air in front of the CPU fan which sucks it in and the 140mm fan at the back to push all the hot air out.

Tested it with a few games mainly Star Wars Battlefront II and it plays like a dream. Overall I'm very happy with it and I loved that case from the moment I saw it so I'm glad I have managed to build a decent gaming machine in it.

I mean considering the psu is non-modular, this is more then decent in terms of cable management

Wow this looks good, so simple but really clean. i5-6400 gtx 1050 ti is a lil powerhouse at 1080p

Thanks. I am finding that it’s performing really well at 1080p.

Like those Fans and the over all color scheme.

Also nice that you went with a real CPU cooler instead of the stock garbage.

If i had to pick one area for investing a bit more, it would be the Power Supply in this build. The all black braided cables of the EVGA G3 550 would just really put this over the top.

If you get a moment please check out my builds, and tell me what you think..

Thanks for sharing !!

Great looking build! How do you like the i5 2.7ghz cpu? I was thinking about picking one up for my mini-itx build. But haven't seen the price come down any as of yet.

I really like the look of the case you're using, with the red accents on the inside with the fans and the cpu cooler.

Thanks. I would have liked a better i5 and was going to go for a 7500 originally but I couldn't turn this down for the price. Performing very well as far as I can see.

Nice! I would have gone with a 7400 or 8400 for faster speeds, but still a nice build!

Yes I wanted the 7500 but this was a good deal.

Love it. I think you just convinced me to buy the white version of this case. Looks so clean and with the red I just love the contrast.

How are you finding performance of the 1050ti? I’m not too fussed about maxing out AAA games, play mostly eSports titles, and have been weighing up this or just the standard 1050.

The 1050 ti is great and performing well for what I want and with the latest games out there. I'm not sure how much difference there is between this and the non ti. Probably not a whole lot in it.

I love this case and especially in white. It also blends in with the house decor so it keeps the wife happy.

I personally would recommend the 1050 Ti as it does have 4 GBs of VRAM compared to the 1050's 2 GBs.

Love the look of this one, makes me want to try the same color scheme in a future build. Very cool :-)

Thanks. Yeah if I had the money I would improve some areas. Room for upgrades definitely.

Just a solid, clean setup. I love it! Would you recommend the CPU cooler to me? I'm debating whether or not I should get it. Thank You :)

It’s a great cooler and does the job. I found it hard to fit in this small case. Needed and extra pair of hands.
