Description
Built this around January for £1000 after saving all year, AMD for most fps for my money.
Part Reviews
CPU
Great value for £120, cheapest way onto AM5, got mine from SZCPU on AliExpress.
CPU Cooler
Got this until I can afford an aio, definitely gets a little hot with my 7500f but I really cant complain considering the price, rgb is good also.
Motherboard
Cheapest ATX AM5 mobo that had all the features I wanted at the time, no complaints other than the Bluetooth which I cant get to work, I wont bump it down a star because that seems to just be a me problem.
Also my front panel usb-c isn't getting any power and I heard its a gigabyte mobo issue (because you can't flip the header) so be aware.
Memory
Stunning rgb, not much more expensive than the plain version, highly recommend.
Video Card
Keep in mind I have a modded version of this card using different parts such as the msi gaming trio 6950xt backplate to improve temps as the original card gets pretty hot.
Very underrated card. Got mine for £420 on eBay and while I could have saved a bit of money if I was more patient, this card has been a beast. Crushing anything at 1440p max settings. The rgb is clean but the individual leds on the strip at the top are pretty visible. Mine does experience coil whine however I'm not fussed and I never notice it with headphones on.
Overall a great card at this budget, especially if you can get it at <£400, nothing really comes close.
Case
Best £45 case ever made, quality features at such a low price like this rarely happens. Montech never disappoint. The rgb on the preinstalled fans is great too.
Power Supply
Heard the old models of these used to blow up when they hit their max load instead of shutting down but mine is fine and I have no complaints. It was the cheapest 750w, gold, modular psu when I bought it.
