Actually, Pascal is designed to go up to 112°C, thermal max before throttling at 91°C, thermal shutdown at 120°C. I don't think such a low limit has existed since well before the GT8xxx days. Even then cards were designed to go up to 125°C, limiting at 105°C.
1700 sits just fine at 4.0ghz with 1.345v (about 57°C), and even when I had it on air 80°C is just fine. Voltage degradation would be more of a concern than thermals at that point, and seeing as I only had it at 1.25v, I was sure fine in both regards. I don't know why you think 3.8ghz is a max for the 1700, some people got well binned chips (like mine).
Not a girl btw.
Sorry for the late reply, yes they can! However I have the internal LEDS on the Taichi RGB header now, and you can pinout the external LED/Switch LED to do so as well with some light modding.
Exactly, I didn't bother buying more up front if I was just going to get a kit that had the already. The EK Vardar fans I'm using now are very nice. 3 intake, 1 exhaust.
eBay! It was actually a store return but I was in close communication with the seller, sent me a lot of pictures to verify it was near mint. Make sure to message the seller about the monitor beforehand, it can be hit or miss buying used/refurbished monitors.
I plan on water cooling it fairly soon, as well as removing the shunts. Ref design makes both of these the easiest.
Thanks! I love it too, I'll miss it when I set up my custom loop.
This is actually one of the reasons I went with windowed. I love silence, but I love best girl even more.
Thank you! Both of them were gifts so I honestly dont know. You can find them both on Amazon here though: Kotobukiya Kurnoeko & Nendroid.
I thought about that actually! Seeing that I got a great deal on an amazing panel (retails for about $400) I wasn't really keen to paying an extra $200 just for that function.
Thank you very much!
I would only be personally frustrated if they released something like a 1080Ti². I honestly cant justify pricing wise the extra $500 for a 5% performance gain. That said, it is still very sad to see Nvidia short their customers like this. Hopefully this doesn't become a trend.
Sounds awesome, best of luck!
Thanks a ton! Just for some peace if mind, B-Die can take like 2 volts I think. Most people I've seen with my DIMMs have had to use 1.45-1.5v, so you should be okay if you need to pump more. IIRC increasing VDDCR a little helps if your board supports it.
Also, it's the Kotobukiya Kuroneko and Kurnoeko Nendroid
Didnt even think about that! Thank you!
