It's also a chain clothing store, I think it's funnier that way.
I love how it says "Distance to TJ Max" on the CPU temp screen
Just wanted to say guys that this is awesome. When I bought the parts for my computer off of this site I had no idea that some of my money was going towards this and it really makes me happy that all the people running this site are this caring. Thanks everyone, and now I will FOR SURE be buying all of my computer parts off of here!
Yeah definitely, as far as 990 and 970 goes if you want to go with a 970 as they are usually cheaper I would recommend this board. It has an 8+2 power phase which is not usually seen in the 970 boards and really helps with overclocking. It also depends on the CPU you have but that shouldn't vary too much. Otherwise if you want all the additional features a 990 has then go with that. Thanks for the comment!
So far it has been great!
You're in college and you can afford this and a 2012 mustang? Am I just doing it wrong?
I like it so far, the only thing I wish I had thought about was SLI in the future as this board claims to not support it. Otherwise temperatures and overclocking ability have been great on it.
I believe it was on sale on Amazon for that price.
I agree. First thing I am going to upgrade is the GPU to probably a 770 or 780 once the price drops on them a little bit.
It can be pretty taxing to read about taxes after tax season. :D
The thing I like least about your build are those beats headphones.
If you would have gotten a cheaper mouse, better power supply such as a corsair cx, less fans because all of those are not needed, and just get a 1tb hard drive instead of 5tb plus 2 SSD's you could have upgrades the more useful components so much.
I have those same speakers and I could never find what brand they were. They sound really good for being cheap!
Do you mean buying another GPU and crossfading them? If so probably not, I would just upgrade to a better single card. I believe the motherboard does not support crossfire.
I also plan to overclock the CPU to around 4.0 Ghz.
Will the 3gb/s have less performance capabilities than the 6gb/s?
So I did some tweaking and came up with this. Let me know what you think. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/mcliman3/saved/3s87
Thanks for the input. And yea I wanted to buy the cooler because I do plan to overclock to around 3.8 - 4 ghz. I also did not know about the DDR3-1866 ram being paired with the cpu so thanks.
