We had an issue last night that wouldn't let me add them as 32/64 together. Should finish adding them tonight.

Most boards being sold now have it noted that they come with the updated BIOS. If not, there are a handful that allow you to update the bios via USB without an SB-E proc.

If the 3770k and the 4770k had the same clock and cache what would your response be?

The difference is architecture.

Not to mention the 4930k is 200Mhz higher at 3.4 vs 3.2

Care to clarify? The 4930k is a stronger chip based on a newer chipset...

That build can easily run off a 500w PSU. The shop is trying to scam you.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Did i Install this evo 212 wrong ?"

That would be ideal per manufacturer specs and I would expect anywhere from 3-5C difference

Two things. The CPU cooler ideally should be rotated so the fan is pulling air from over the ram slots and pushing through the cpu cooler towards the back of the case.

Second, you show the GPU in several different slots. Make sure you use one of the two Blue ones running at x16 or you will be running the GPU at x4 in the black slots and seriously limiting performance.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Custom Parts"

It is straight forward. Unfortunately a lot of PEBKAC and ID10T errors...

The main issue is that I would still have to check all the parts to make sure they were input correctly. At the end of the day the compatibility filter and accurate specs are our responsibility.

Unfortunately, no. We had something similar in place early on in the site's life cycle and there were issues just getting the manufacturer part number correct. If you have a part you would like added to the site please post over in the part additions forum and I will take care of it.

For the time being I suggest you use the custom part feature. When we include watercooling parts we will include the Hydro Copper cards.

We currently do not list Hydro Copper cards because we do not list watercooling parts. My worst nightmare is listing the HC cards and having someone with a regular computer buy one and toss it into their computer without knowing.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "How to add more fans with only 3 case fan headers"

  • 1 point

You could always get a fan controller as well. I have 6 fans plugged into my controller and the only header i use on the mobo is from my cpu cooler.

This is kinda blurry but there are 6 fans plugged in and not only does it look really clean but I get full control of the fan speeds as well.

Any of the ones I listed. All 240/280 CLCs perform pretty close to each other.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Can Someone Please Help Me With Watercooling?"

If you get a CLC like the Kraken, H220, H100, or the Water 3.0 you just need to install it. Unless you build the loop from scratch you have 0 maintenance other than cleaning dust from the rad.

Honestly, this is pretty unlikely. It becomes a nightmare to have to monitor, child safety laws come into play, and generally can ease the spread of phising and malware links or other things we don't want to associate the site with.
