Seriously why pay as much for your case as your gfx card so unbalanced in my option you should put your money as follows for gaming pc

1)graphics card &1)monitor 2)cpu 3)ram 4)motherboard 5)psu 6)storage 7)cooling 8)case

As what resolution determines what gpu you need to run it ect so this is your priority

+1 from me , love the AMD raith cooler watch all the Intel fanboys cry when ryzen kicks the arse of the £1000 CPU for only £250 and even single cores go AMD

This has to be called the overkill unbalanced build . You has spent a bomb on peripherals but then stuck a 980ti last gen card with a last gen CPU , you would of been better on buying Kabylake and a gtx 1080 and a pci-e ssd this is already out of date .

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Xeon E3-1231 V3 vs I5 6600K?"

  • 1 point

just sold my Xeon 1231 v3 it was a bit of a let down I say this as I had a i5 4570 and to be honest i didn't see any difference and i used it for gaming at 1080p maxed out with a gtx 970 and some video encoding with handbrake . Yes it scored high in benchmarks but what good are they . Playing bf4 I got lag on loading textures you would start a new game and it was like you was playing at lowest resolution after about 30 secconds it would load all the bells and whistles and looked great . Yes its fast but do you need that much power if you are editing 4k video get the i7 as the integrated gfx can add to the gpu to speed it up but not by a massive amount . Dont buy into the marketing hype they spend millions and use benchmarks to sell hardware in real world it makes naff all difference
