So how well do those i9's cook eggs?
This is crazy! i too have a powermac G5 case mod with almost identical specs! i have 3200mhz Corsair LPX and a 256Gb SSD, and the 1600x instead with a different motherboard. im not currently using my G5 but i plan to reuse it soon!
you're about a month late on Christmas there....
uhh i think your accessories box is still inside your PC HDD caddy lol
please tell me she made you some pie in return. pie is always a good gift from grandma! :D
its honestly worth it tbh
sick build +1 for the wallpaper.
ive got that same one but in 3840 x 1080 for dual 1080p monitors stretched :)
alright, just to let you know that what ever card is in the higher PCIE slot reeves more bandwidth than the ones below the top one, so as of right now your wireless card is getting a better connection with your CPU than your actual graphics card is...
why dont you swap the positions of the GPU and the wireless card?
Those cards are ginormous. Very well done setup. deserves a feature!
not yet. i plan on posting it when its completely done, im still waiting for my front panel USB3 cables to come in the mail. im going to post my whole new setup and everything with the G5 when its done. ill let you know
Ive actually got a G5 in the works right now. ive seen your build since your first posted it on the tonymac x86 forums.
This is jaw dropping. Everything about it. I was skeptical about the grey liquid but it turned out to look quite nice with the LEDs. even the cable management was amazing with the the tubes running behind the motherboard! Love this thing! +∞
Yooo, do you play any melee over netplay? if youre in the northern part of the US hit me up.
Yoooo. So progress on my case. im cutting the back out today and Riveting in the new tray!
+1 for shaky photos
yes i may have exaggerated a little extra on the CX series but, its better to be safe than sorry.
I would recommend getting a better PSU. the Corsair CX series line up has had some serious flaws
Dont cheap out on your PSU. You can either get one that will NEVER fail, or one that could end up Popping up on you and ruining ALL of your hardware!
Just realized both our names are mike lmao
i would imagine that i gets very hot though. if i were you i would have placed the PSU towards the front of the PC. to allow ample room for upgrades.
Yeah for sure, ill keep you up when i get this done. im using an old ATX motherboard with a 120 Fan. ive ran into a few slight issues, but all i can get around easily without doing too much. i also have a lot of carbon fiber wrap planned to use with it. i would recommend it. with my front panel IO i want to reuse the original power button and LED, but add new USB 3.0 to the front. my little stand still right now is the fact im out of epoxy. i plan to epoxy the backside of my motherboard tray to the old G5 back. then use some bolts and washers to hold my tray against the back panel. hidden under my board. i only have to repaint the chassis after i epoxy it though.
Wow, thats an Insane G5 mod possibly the best one of seen so far! Im actually working on one right now. did you plan an using new front panel IO? also did you hook up custom front panel adapters or did you mod it yourself?
NEVER "E V E R" TAKE A HEATSINK OFF A GPU IF IT ALREADY HAS IT ON
i sneezed looking at your PC lol
why had you removed the thermal cap on the CPU?
Nice wallpaper :^ )
MOAR PICTURES PLEASSSEEEEE!!!!!!!! +∞
im stupid. I didn't see the description, never mind.
Im confused. Why is there a 390 in the part "pictures"?
Thanks you! I love me some mods!
If you still have the Dell case, would you PLEASE be able to make a sleeper build out of it? they turn into wonderful case modding projects that can be very fun to do.
22 and a half terabytes
Jesus That is A LOT! +1
Sorry to be the one who sticks out in the comments, but if you're doing any kind of OC'ing please buy a new power supply!
Corsair brand CX Power Supplies have some bad failure rates, and when it does fail... Lets just say its not pretty.
I would recommend something like this
7 Total Drives....
That's a lot of storage.
Very Nice Older Styled Build. +1
I would recommend upgrading the GPU sometime soon, and possibly cleaning out some dust!
MORE PICTURES PLEASE
sorry but no, not worth even though the "slight" case mod. honestly waste of what could've been something better
Yeah, it would be better to use the normal 6 pin from your PSU rather than an adapter which could lead to more factors for which an error could occur
Im confused on why you are using an adapter for your GPU. That PSU should be able to handle it for sure
NICE MOUSE LOL
I watched it on your channel before i have even seen it here. Kinda wondering why you couldn't get the IO shield, and not being able to plug in your fan?
I need to see the update with your little GPU mod! I love this +1
Still using that same motherboard to this day! Love it +1
Buys another Nikon 7200 to take pictures of the Nikon 7200
Jk Very lovely build. Done and put together very well the way it should be!
Still very Jealous of your build. That blue just stands out so well and i love all of it!
Thank you :)
Uh, That R9 Fury Box Doesnt look like a 980 Ti lol
Love the color scheme and the custom backplate. +1
Very Good Job!
YESSSS!! Thanks you so much i love these things
Please mod that powermac G5 as well! i would love to see that done.
