As a college student, I went for a more budget focused build. Its actually my other build I posted. It really depends on what you wanna get out of it and how much you're willing to put into it in the beginning. What would you use it for primarily?
As an example, this rig is pretty future proof and the only reason I'd need to upgrade is if the bleeding edge of technology comes out and I have to have it. Other than that, this rig can handle any modern game on maxed out graphics and any new game that needs even higher requirements, I can just lower the settings, but I foresee this rig not needing to be upgraded anytime soon.
The new I7 is overkill for gaming in my opinion. That's why I went for the i5-8600k. The 1080 is on the higher side of gaming GPUs so depending on what you do, you might not need that much and could save money getting an RX 580 or equivalent. Anymore questions, let me know.
Yes, I agree, but the Bitfenix cables I used was literally an inch short if I routed it through the grommets or the reservoir riser. I didn't believe it. But I'll get a short extension for it soon and route it through that top grommet on the right.
I didn't noticed, but it does look stacked haha. Nah the CPU cooler finish is just really shiny and thats it's reflection. And at the time of that picture, I just got that SSD and I had to dig out the mounting hardware. Thank you for the input. This was my "Do what you can with 600 dollars" project and I wanna future proof it a bit and give it to my wife
At the time of that picture, I just got the SSD and I was formatting it and installing the operating system to it, but I had to dig out the mounting hardware
