...but baymax is white... +1
keep the theme subtle and clean
keep the theme subtle and clean
Clean, maybe, but not too subtle...
I'm confused...Star killer or Stark Killer?
I made one years ago but only use it for things like this
what's this woobox ad
Mostly it's the RAM that's really expensive. like $48 for a 4GB DDR4-2133 stick. A relative was coming over from america for a while so I asked her to get it...
EDIT: there's also no major stores,at least not that I know of.There's only individual shops which import the stuff. You can expect prices on most stuff to be at least $20 higher on average compared to average prices in the US. For some things like monitors it's the exact same or even lower, not sure why.
I've done the cable management 3 times over... it is significantly better than what it was before, but i guess it won't hurt to do it one more time :P
Yeah but i'd have to get a better monitor somewhere along the way or i would be stuck with an awesome build but not so awesome 768p monitor. Many people here and on reddit said that a monitor is a long-term investment so i decided i wouldn't cheap out on it. Also neither the 1060 nor the 480/470 is available here, and even if they were i doubt any of them would be lower than $320. For reference the (gigabyte)1080 is $860 here and the 1070 is $540. :P ...third world problems i guess?
dammit. Just came up with a better title. "decent crapbox",how's that
I really felt like I overpaid for everything, you know? Everything was a bit too expensive. So I decided to go low end while also trying to keep future upgrades possible. :)
only came up with that because I felt I overpaid for some of the stuff, like the mobo and the case. XD
I splurged a bit on the monitor, but yeah :D
i'm probably gonna be old as hell by then.but still.
that's a first
I'm not gonna even get close to VR until something like what's in sword art online comes along.
the inside is lit entirely by the fans? nice +1
ahh, well i already bought it, but sorry for replying so late.
I live in Pakistan and online shops here are highly unreliable. They'll label something as 'in stock' and when you order it they tell you it's not available...happened to me more than once.
but that's only any good if you've got top-notch cable management...which i don't....
Except for the price. The 480 is somewhat cheaper with more VRAM.
i found it at the store. it's the SE-530P. sorry :/
I only found one 530W thermaltake PSU when i searched for it, the SP-530P, but i don't have it yet as i'm still looking to see if i can't find a better one.
oh well. guess i'll be stuck with average for a while :/
damn you taxes and distance and foreign relations
the 530 watt one, i think it's this one
So I can do it? there's also a sidepanel fan mount, that won't be a problem would it?
you're talking about a custom loop? that would be a bit too expensive.
well how much do most games use now?
That's what I thought about the video card. If you went and brought the k version of the i7 because you wanted to overclock, you should have gotten a Z170 motherboard because you can't overclock on the one you have.
he got a processor meant for overclocking with a motherboard that can't overclock, i don't think that's a very good decision. Also the video card feels outdated, op could have gotten an i5 6500(which is perfectly fine for gaming) along with a 970 or r9 380, keeping the motherboard the same. I'm assuming this was because he's migrating parts from an old rig?
That is one weird build, tbh. what do you use it for?
you won't believe me but I hate music.
well if you're in for a long trip you don't wanna be stuck with some stupid mobile games.
on that "too expensive"list... okay now i feel stupid :P
Took a look at you partlists,I would recommend an H110i cooler on that 6950X. doesn't seem like you're ever gonna get it, but whatever.
I'm not an expert on picking parts(yet :D) and making partlists but i think this fits your budget as well as your needs
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
EDIT: also i wanted to ask are eurotruck and football manager high-end games or minecraft level games? but i'm pretty sure the 380 can manage most games at high settings.
doesn't look like much from the outside until you open it. awesome build +1
woah.that is awesome. Thanks!
So you just install the bracket and any CPU cooler and you have your GPU liquid cooled?
I will only be getting the cooler once i get the i5.
The light gaming i talked about was only for now.i do wanna play higher end new games like witcher 3 when i get the new processor. And i do have a z170 mobo. Also i might do a tiny bit of video editing.
I really like the case and i dont think ill need a 240mm cooler, thats why i was asking about 120mm coolers.
The case is the NZXT S340,hence the need for 120mm cooler because i don't like a radiator as intake. the current CPU is an i3 6100, but i'm going to upgrade to i5 6600k for which i'm asking this. I do some light gaming and internet browsing, but mostly I want one because it looks good.
Also, are there 140mm coolers as well?
that's a lot of swearing bro +1
A friend of mine said it's hinges would be weak. Is this true?
i'm guessing OP wanted to be able to OC in the future with a better processor
get the smallest GPU you can find maybe?
EDIT: can you measure the maximum available length for the gpu in the case? that might help.
