I certainly found out it's not that hard, but I wouldn't have done it at 13. So hats off to you!
I ended up with the Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 in red, white and black. I love it! It just so happens to perform extremely well I might add. Brown......EEEWW!
What an achievement at such a young age! You should be very proud, also your parents. WELL DONE!!!
Even so it won't be that much more in Aus, so thanks I'll look into it. Thanks again for the advice, I love to learn from an expert.
WOW!!!Love those cables! Well done. I was going to buy that motherboard, but didn't know enough at the time. I'm still learning!
Great choice of GPU, I love mine! The case is great too.
Thanks for responding, I want to have it as a second home office PC for general use, it has served me well for eight years. I bought a HSD last year and that made it a lot faster, but I took that out and put it in this new build. I then put my old hard drive back in the old girl and boy is it slow! I didn't know you could get an SSD for that low a price, is that in Aus dollars?
That is BEAUTIFUL!!! Love the way you have labeled everything in your photos, very professional!
My what a beautiful rainbow! Love that case, well done. I am a slightly biased Corsair fan, and I love red and black.
Lol, then it would be a strawberry milk shake.
Thanks, the cables certainly do look better than those old grey straps. The old PC is an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600. Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R MOBO. 8GB DDR2 RAM. The MOBO can take DDR3 8GB. It had an Nviva GeForce 512MB 8600GT PCI-Express . Put in a Radeon graphics card, I'm trying to find the box to see the model of it. The PSU is Thermaltake 450watt. It is in a Thermaltake Soprano Case. Cost me $927.00 in 2008. Do you think it's worth fixing up, it actually still works wells, I was playing Tomb Raider survival on it on low settings before I built the new one.
Gee if that's what you can do with old computer parts, my old girl may still have hope. I was going to leave her on the garage shelf. If you don't mind I'll give you the details and see what you can come up with. I might be able to find her to a good home.
Looks Awesome. Love the case and everything white. A vanilla milkshake please!!
Lucky, lucky little girl.....and aren't you the best Uncle ever!
Nice job! Love the colours.
WOW! Looks fabulous all lit up. Great job. Congrats!
PS. Great title!
GIRL POWER! Good on you! I just built my first as well, I went from being a PC Dunce to not such a dunce!
Love that soft colour bty.
Great case and good effort! Hey we're not all experts like most of these guys on this great site. But we are here to learn and these guys give valuable advice.
Good job. I love that case. I was going to get it in red. Sigh!!!!
Damn that is so pretty! Should have been featured. Well done.
Gee you have a few builds under your belt. Well done!
Thanks you. Much appreciated.
Nice build. How far have you got in Rise of the Tomb Raider?
I shall keep that in mind at all times!
They sure do.
Thank you very much I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks, so much! I knew very little 2 months ago about the inside of a PC, didn't think I could do it. Well.....what a surprise!
Great build and very interesting description.
That's a good way to go, I've got plenty of external HDD's so I think I have everything safe....so far.
Gee thanks, don't like minuses. The cables are loose, no probs so far. Thanks for looking bty.
Nice build, I have the Gigabyte gaming 7 and Gigabyte 980 Ti as well. Love them!
Have a look at my build, you'll laugh when you see my braided cables. I like to be different!
I went from HDD to Hybrid State Drive (fast) and now I have SSD (very fast). I would like an M.2 as well. I have 2TB on the hybrid with everything saved on it and windows and the games on SSD. I'm not sure if I need the extra space, but I prefer speed.
I was checking out how close the M.2 headers are to the CPU and the GPU, I wonder if that will have heat issues.
Not yet, how good are they?
How did the disabling thing happen? Or shouldn't I ask?
That looks AMAZING!
Gorgeous, perfect name for it. Same MOBO as mine, I have had no problems so far. I braided my cables.... lol
Great build, I have the same motherboard, I love it!
Excellent build. Congrats. I had the same problem not having enough USB headers. I purchased an internal USB adapter from Amazon. It's NZXT, if you have a look at my build you can see it on the front left hand side under the top back exhaust. Very handy, I have everything plugged in now. Very happy Jan!
Very, very nice!
WOW! Excellent. Those colours look beautiful.
Great! Makes me realize now I went "OVERKILL"
Thanks to you too.
Absolutely beautiful job! You should be proud. You have great taste. I am a little biased, I too have the same motherboard. The same brand of GPU and RAM and my favourite colour is red. And....I am also an Aussie.
If mine was as good as yours, I wouldn't be able to take my eyes of it.
Niiiiiiiiiiice! The red looks great.
That's a good temp. I haven't seen my CPU go above 35 C. I too saw that video so I figured, one or the other would suffice. I was going to get my filters from SA, but found them here in AUS. Have fun with your build!
