They're actually really good for the price, but with that comes you get what you pay for. They're a bit tight around the head and ears, sound quality is good for gaming but i tend to take them off if i'm watching media etc!

There's just something very satisfying about SFF builds, i was actually looking at the Ophion Evo recently. +1! any pics of the full set up?

Lovely build +1.

Just out of curiosity, what setup do you have for your fans? Looks as though the front two fans on the AIO or oriented for exhaust?

Please do!

Quick question on working with Parvum, how easy going and open were they for the ideas? I was looking into working with someone to design an ITX case

Now that is one gorgeous build [wo]man ;). love the inverted look, very satisfying that the PRIME on the mobo is the right way up for this, although ASUS is killing me :D

as far as i'm aware, without the lighting node pro they will cycle through on the rainbow wave effect but to use with iCUE and have software level control you need the lighting node pro. I got the two LL140 fans as a pack with the lighting node pro and the LL120 as an 'extension'. the lighting node pro can fit up to 6 devices.

Love that case! Fans may not bother you now, or ever, but at least its a very simple and relatively cheap upgrade in the future if they do end up bugging you.

+1.

I’d recommend checking the fans again, checked mine after seeing OCs replies and 100% if I oriented them this way they would be on exhaust.

No, not “literally everyone” who runs them had them the same way round. I’ve got 2 140s and a 120 and they push air the same as 95% of fans, from the open side through the blades and out the side with the frame and wiring. Check the outer frame of your fan and it will have two arrows, one showing the direction the blades spin and the other the direction of air flow.

Comment reply on IanSynth's Completed Build: Intel RGB Simplicity

+1. Just a suggestion, you may want to consider swapping the rgb fans to the top and rear and positioning the stock case fans as intakes on the rad - current setup has all 4 fans on exhaust by the looks of it. Should give you better thermals and reduce noise a touch!

Tell me about it! I'm holding off to see how things go with Ryzen 3000 and the Navi cards, so the money that would be going into my build just now is being spent on pointless, unnecessary but totally needed rubbish!

I made the switch from the LG OLED55B8S over to the Samsung Q6F QLED, i tend to watch a lot more sports than i do anything else when im using the TV and, for me anyway, the viewing experience is more vivid. Don't get me wrong, OLED is absolutely gorgeous but i'd heard, and proven to myself, that OLED provides deeper blacks compared to the brightness and sharpness that QLED can output - although how much of that is down to your own perception im not too sure!

although, my head has been slightly turned since the Samsung 8K Q950R was unveiled, absolutely love the aesthetic and 8K seems a lot of fun for the eyes and a lot of pain for the wallet.

i'm sure the Samsung panels are QLED aren't they? still a worthwhile purchase, i actually prefer my QLED TV to the OLED it replaced - controversial i know ><

Outside of PCI lanes and a couple other things there’s only a few builds where X470 does give the advantage, as long as you get a good B450 board you’re fine

power delivery on the asrock boards are really good, so going to take a guess that if he does overclock it won’t be going past what they can handle - definitely not with the stock cooler, as good as it is.

Comment reply on Jazz.'s Completed Build: Who says budget can’t look pretty...

I’ve had no issues with it, the only reason it should run loud is if it’s running hot so with a well ventilated system and adequate airflow it will be fine. I can’t hear it at all, even with the overclock and fan curve on it.

Comment reply on john97m's Completed Build: My First Build

I didn’t really understand the difference with Ryzen until I ran my own testing, I mean sure I had read reviews etc but with running benchmarks, day to day gaming etc and then realising my last failed overclock had removed my XMP profile and had been running at 2133 rather than 3000, when I changed it back it was genuinely noticeable.
