Ryzen runs better with faster ram ram and is heavily reliant on it Put simply ram running in duel channel is x2 faster than single channel. https://youtu.be/u827fdCOCao

Comment reply on Forum Topic "dpi vs mouse sensitivity (in the control panel)"

If possible I'd recommend at least 1600 or 3200dpi (A lot of better sensors work slightly better on a higher mouse dpi) And lowering the sensitivity in windows or in game.

You do get some TVs which can run at an unperfect 1080p 120hz or 4k 60 which might be worth it for gaming otherwise for movies it's not worth it as movies only really go up to 48hz maximum.

I'd avoid sli, to be honest, I used to have a pair of 1080 ti's and I sold one as I had so many fewer issues.

I've got a i5 6300hq 1060 laptop and I find its limiting in every game i play even osu which is a 2d game from 2007.

Often the 1060 will never go above 60 - 80 % usage while the cpu is pinned which isnt very "Future proof"

The i5 WILL be very limiting even with a 1050 otherwise it looks like a good deal.

I've used a 1080 for single 4k which worked fine and I've done with and without sli triple 4k gaming with 1080 tis and honestly, 1 1080 is enough for sim racing at triple 4k and 2 isn't enough for triple a triple 4k so I sold one.

I use 3 43" 4k monitors from about 2 to 3 feet away from it and the only game I've found them to big for is osu where i use a 28" 1440p window.

For streaming, I'd have the main monitor and the 24" vertically and it'll be more than sufficient for streaming... 27 with the game on it 24" with the chat down the side closest to your main monitor obs open and your donations under or above your obs.

Closed back? No microphone? Honestly if audio quality is what you're looking for i'd go for the Monolith M1060C or M560 which are $300 and $200 and will both easily beat all of the headphones you have when it comes to quality and sound stage.

It's a newer model with more in production just forget the um58-p exists.

Honestly though at your budget I'd get a quality 16x9 monitor instead of a cheap 21x0 monitor unless you're going 29" or more. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/FKfmP6/lg-29um59-p-290-2560x1080-75hz-monitor-29um59-p

Here's a $1500 overkill one https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cwpmD2

And here's a $1000 one. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wq9t7W

And here's a $500 one that would do the job if you only plan on hosting one server at a time. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BFqBLJ

As for an os I'd highly recommend learning a different os such as centos or ubuntu server edition.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Upgrade FROM 6700k?"

Honestly, I'd just get a 2600x if you do streaming or just wait for yet another intel generation or more. I use a 1700 with 2 1080 tis and easily get 200 + frames on ow at 4k.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Laptop hard drive"

You can get good 2tb laptop drives but they're all way over $200 compare to the $60 of a 1tb 2.5" drive.

IMO the best option is to get a USB HDD enclosure to use with your desktop and laptop if you need the storage and or just get a 1tb 2.5" drive.

Edit: on my on the go gaming laptop I have a 120 gig SSD and a 1tb HDD and I've never had any problems but I also mainly use my desktop with almost 9tb of storage.
