Awesome! no, not really! hey maybe you can save some bucks, you don't need 500w maybe you can go with the 430w from corsair or any other 450w from brands like xfx, or evga

Awesome man, I am sure they'll enjoy it. The ram seems overpriced doe but Just remember there are place where you can get used parts for awesome deals. Such as Ebay (video cards) or craiglist! (cases and power supplies) or even Amazon (seen 8gb of ram in $50) happy building!

If I just need a 970 , why would I spend more money on a card I wouldn't fully utilize?

I think it is good to think about the performance-price ratio. But do not sacriface parts that need to be excelent quality just for the sake to get an enthusiast video card. Cheers

We came here to meet better our experiences trough building pc's , not to come up with great names. And this is more than decent, you did a really good job. Maybe we can give you a better advice or even you can give it but If you relate your whole experience trough pictures and a greater description. Cheers

It's your call dude, are your brothers going to play intense games? the 4gb would be a mayor concern. I'd go for the 1st one if I didn't want to complex stuff, I'd go for the intel part list, if i wanted the best performance out of the buck
