The Xeon E3 1231 V3, Haswell-R, priced as an I5, performs like a i7 without having to overclock! CPU Cooler is up to you, but expect to see lower temperatures even with the stock fan, as it doesn't have integrated graphics and might run cooler. 16 GB of sweet DDR3 Blue RAM Inexpensive motherboard with a h97M from the best Brand for budget motherboards 250 GB of SSD, instead of just 120 gb, a lot of more space Extra 1TB for all the light stuff Asus 970, the best 970 out there for the price Arc MIni R2, DUST FILTERS! Everywhere! 3 included fans! 750w semi-modular PSU, and don't worry. EVGA makes some good and reliable psu's

GOOD LUCK! :))

Hi! As trickkynickk I strongly recommend going for the Xeon 1231 V3, is priced like an i5 , but performs like an i7 without having to overclock. -I changed the motherboard as there's no need for a z97 chipset and therefore money can be saved - I changed the RAM to get you a dual-channel kit. So you don't have to worry later on. - Changed video card to a 970 which is worth getting no matter what others say. - Eliminated the DVD-R , because who needs those nowadays?

I understand why you chose not overclock and in my humble opinion is the best way to go for level headed gamers. But if one were going to spend one hundred bucks in a cooler that is mostly for looks, one should have choosen the cheaper model atleast like the x31 or x61 120mm. Congrats on your first build

Awesome paint work, but why did you pick that overpriced EVGA motherboard, I'd guess it was for its black colors, but one would have guessed that you wouldn't see the motherboard through all those componenets anyway. That's why I tend to pick cheaper ones from Asrock

Yes I just fell in love with it, I am very tempted to get one those 120mm rads, but depending of my final budget, I'll end up getting a 212 probably, but If not will give them a try.

Stunning isn't it? I hope you see my build soon, thanks for everything

Many thanks for your response, I got the 212 on mind, but I strangely feel I don't like the way it looks, I also looking into the H5 and H7 from cyrorig, I also thought about the H100i, and you're right there's no need.

As for the fans, purely aesthetics, I really like the Arc Mini, all dust-proof with excelent airflow however it's got a smoked window side panel, and indeed it does come with fans but there's actually 3 fans (2 x 120, on top and rear, and one 140mm on top), So i'd be wasting one fan, I'll remove both drive cages, and buy a 5.25 bracket, I have that for sure, wheter I go stock or the corsairs'.

I liked the look of them on this, It adds an $35 "luxury" but you get more airflow, Do you think I should use a nzxt led strip ionstead? I don't like the way it looks plugged into the pci slot, that's my only con, let me know what you think.

And thanks for the ram, it's awesome and I didn't know about the avaliaty of that pack.

Thank you

Couldn't agree more with you jaredt, I do plan using a 1231-V3 not only for the price, because It's of my understanding overclocking does reduce your cpu's lifespan, do you think using a mid-high end air/water cooling device is needed If I want my Xeon chilly and to last longer? Feel free to critize my intended part list
