Sorry my bad, then my advise for a young brilliant like you is to be disciplined on your gaming sessions, don't let gaming be the only stuff you're good at.
It feels agressive when you say it like that, but yeah I took one mechanical drive and plugged it to another laptop, I also checked if any driver was missing. I'll be returning the enclosure tomorrow, thanks for your help
Such deal with it. Much performance . Very cheap . Wow!
No, for real great work with those parts, I've got to say that you raised my eyebrow with the 30$ Xeon, how is it performing? How does it feel?
Well, I never said "It needs a heatsink" nor "it must have a heatsink" I said should which means an advise. Adding a heatsink will not harm the CPU, as the other user stated but it will affect your overclocking performance if you happen to OC it.
Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS
Where did you learn that? did you ...that ... in a kind....ten? Anyway why do you think that heat sinks have all those spikes? So motherboard chipstets shouldn't use heatsinks then? Because that's what you're saying
I can also relate to the joy of working with a modular psu, what really a pleaseant experience it must have been to wire all those goodies. Glad to see you're back to pc gaming showing off this awesome rig
Good choice on the Xeon, maybe it would have been better to go mini ITX for this build, in order to save money, in the case and the motherboard, Gigabyte H97 mini Itx has built in wifi
Despite that, isn't 1440p a better gaming experience even with tweaked settings? I just think that a 550 beans gpu, don't go along with a simple 1080p display, I'd be happy to downgrade for a 970 or wait for the 390x in order to play at 1080p, If i wanted superior gaming performance I'd probably go 980 and tweak the settings to get 120+fps for competitive games. If that's not the case, [sorry for bad english btw] All I am saying is that If I am going to spend 200 extras for a 980, I wouldn't choose a simple 1080p monitor If I wanted a better visual experience, Or I'd go 1080p to max out everything and get a little bit of time until I have to upgrade. Again sorry for my desorganized ideas, I haven't even built anything yet, that was just my humble opinion
So you cannot play games, If they are not set on the highest highest settings?..... maybe yeah, it's just a personal preference, but I am sure, 1440p with tweaked settings is far better than 1080p at the highest :}
An SSD is a must for this kind of systems. Changed to a 1231 V3, it's basically an i7 4790 without the integrated graphics, therefore running cooler and consuming less power.
Also upgraded to a 290 , because why not? You can downgrade if you want more room for the OS
Awesome dude!, i see it's pretty solid. Maybe you'll have to tweak the settings down a bit if you want steady 60 fps on the upcoming games, only that. Happy building

Hello, maybe someone else can get it cheaper, but let me explain you each selected part.
Went with an i3 because of its low price, high performance , and especially this one for having 100 mhz faster clock.
Chose the h97m Pro, because of the 6 faster sata ports.
Didn't go dual channel on the ram , to let you decide later on if you want to upgrade
Great, and easy case to work with.
And a great psu for a low price
Indeed, a portrait setup for photo editing would be really slick. Maybe some joinery with the help of a drill?. Haha, Sam I know anyone who knows you can recognize your posts, instantly, by taking a glance of the first photo, kind of your personal mark, I know your camera work is outstanding, but I'd like to see you using different techniques , I don't know, different angles, a new background.. I just think, each of your builds have a distinct essence, so a different photography should accompanying it. Best regards ~ Handsome Squidward
