I love this build. The colour theme is perfect but most importantly the shapes, textures, AND colours all work together really really well. Awesome, build. Oh, and the cable management is incredible. Beautiful work.

If you get very frustrated very easily, like me, you could see if a local PC repair store or boutique is willing to build it for you. They will charge you, but not crazy prices, and if they do the Windows install as well, it should be much better in the long run. I always come across something stupid in the install process and I've had recurring errors with my DIY custom PC, making it even more annoying.

Thank you for this. I quite like the list... at a great price point too. I don't need to fit 1440 into the budget because I will get my old broken one replaced, so I'll go for a cheaper 1080p monitor. Thanks again!

  1. You need Z97 motherboard. H97 doesn't overclock.
  2. Why so much on the cooler? Get a Noctua or Be quiet air cooler and save the money. Even a 212 evo is fine.
  3. Get a better GPU. Look on Ebay and bid if you must. I'd recommend looking at R9 200 series GPUs as loads of people are selling theirs. The R9 390 would be perfect. That 750 Ti is crap really.
  4. Read some power supply (PSU) reviews and choose a better 650W. Have a look at the XFX XTR i think it is.
  5. Spend at least 50 on the case. Just doesn't seem right to get that silly thing.
  6. If you want to have good colour reproduction on you screen go find an IPS display with a low response time of around 4ms if you can. If you just want to game then that's pretty much perfect. You could look for some used 120hz monitors on ebay or gumtree and the like they're not likely to to be broken as used and are very easy to clean!

The rest is acceptable and will work fine. Hope i helped. Also, look out for deals and such all the time. Really helps towards the final sum :)

i don't care too much for 4K. at the moment going for 1080 to 1440 is going to be fine, plus, the quality will probably be better too. i'll a 4K monitor once they get more mainstream and cheap later on with an IPS panel or something.

I could do this as I already have a 1TB HDD from my old PC and the Hyper 212 Evo. Will get better stuff later.
