Sorry, I hardly check my messages here. Thanks and the EVGA mobo is still doing well, but I had an issue where my M.2 socket or M.2 SSD failed. I am betting it's the socket and now am just using 860 EVOs. I don't recommend M.2 for gaming since it's more expensive and not worth the slight increase.

Clean build!

Try to lift that saggy graphics card by getting the CPU cooler hoses off of it and tighten the screw(s) holding it in place.

Nice build. If you can afford an ASUS VG245HE, it's a good 24" monitor for the money. It's 1080p and has G-Sync which is nice and smooths out your frame rate. Don't buy one with Freesync as they are meant for AMD graphics cards.

I like how you tied all the components together. Nice first build for sure.

Eventually I am going to build an HTPC and just be done with Xbox all together.

The Evolve Enthoo doesn't push or pull as much air out of the top versus the front. People with top mounted radiators connected to a custom loop are reporting high temps with this case.

Nice build though! Very similar to mine but I have EVGA components.

I just got the 1080Ti after having the 1080 FTW Hybrid. The 20 C difference in heat plus the fan noise is too much under load but so is the cost of a custom water loop.

Nice build and congrats on making the switch from console to PC. I did the same thing a few years back and haven't touched Xbox for gaming.

I am cramped for space, but I put the case on a cart with rollers on the bottom so I can access the back and clean it. The dust filters on the Enthoo Evolve are very good. When I pulled it to install the cable combs and take some of the photos, there was very little dust inside and just had to use some canned air. If I had it to do over, I would probably get a mini ITX and mount that under the desk on the wall.

Yeah, I am pretty set on building this exact rig minus a few things. The Formula/Strix GPU combo is one of the best out there. Great job!

Super nice and understated. It's like a Harley Davidson in that even if you don't ride, you can appreciate the design.

I really want that case and mobo. Just need to decide on the rest.

Have you thought about linking the water loop into the mobo or does that not make a difference?

Why is the CD drive not flush with the case? Just wondering as I have the same case. I'd get a $15 ASUS drive or remove it if you don't use it. I have the same case and fans, so it looks off to me. Clean up those cables and it will look real nice.

Looks great!!! I have a 1070 Strix and would love to do a very similar build but with a 6600k and the Corsair i100h v2.

The "armor" on the mobo looks fantastic and really cleans up the look. I hope ASUS makes some non-Formula armored Aura motherboards.

Kudos!
