Comment reply on ArrKayCee's Completed Build: Tenebris - The PC With a Troubled Past

A little late, but this CPU renders way faster than expected in Premiere. I had a 3930k (6 core, @4.2GHz) and it is 95% as fast as that was.

Haven't had any video projects since getting the CPU. but it more than handles photoshop. No slowdowns at all.

Maybe you're right, but it didn't touch anything else. Just weird.

Please please pretty please tell me where you got the amazing LoZ poster/painting/image! It looks awesome! And to comment on the rest of the build it is also awesome, if I had the ability to drill into my wall I would get the same everything except mobo.

The only thing I would consider is removing the WD sticker on the HDD and covering it with a black/red decal of some sort, maybe a glossy decal from 3M or something DBrands.

I only have 1 suggestion and it's that it looks like you're using mayhems aurora coolant there. DO NOT keep that stuff in your system. It is really only mean to be used for showcasing parts, over time it will get stuck in the waterblocks. I know it looks amazing but that look comes at the cost of longevity.

This is beyond PC, this is art! I can honestly say that I haven't been so impressed by a build since Jay made Skunkworks, and even then I think this surpasses that. Sure, you don't have three way Titan X's or a 5960x at 4.7GHz, but damn, that is one beautiful build.

I personally hate the way the Razer switchers feel. The layout is fine, the software works well, the keys just feel...mushy, compared to Cherry MX.

I got the off of performance-pcs.com. They are the Bitfenix brand, they're pretty nice, and I don't have much experience with custom cables, but they seem to be very difficult to lay them how you want. I would recommend going with whatever cables JayzTwoCents uses in his build, just for the little cable managment thing they come with.

Thank you very much for the kind words. About the fitting I have since fixed that lol, I noticed it too. And about the valley scores they are actually above average compared to reference 980's, the 970 is just insanely fast for the price.

It's an OK cooler, it keeps my OC'd to 4.2ghz CPU at a decent temp a load but idle is too high, even at 50% fan speed. I don't know why and I wouldn't recommend it, I would just go with an AIO watercooler.

OK, nice build but you do realize that NZXT had Razer actually design their own version of the H440 and that it is available for purchase? You could have gone the whole 9 yards! Regardless, +1

It's a beautiful case (one that I will be purchasing in the near future for an upgrade), but it just seems wrong not to utilize the watercooling potential (as I will be for my upgrade). Otherwise great build!
