I just use Defender. I also image my OS drive when I first build a PC so I have a pristine image to restore to if needed. Doing this and backing up my data drive has worked well.

Really nice build. How do you get the MOBO lights to match up with the fans? Do they sync together or do you have to manually set the case fans color and then go into the Asus software and manually set it to be the same as fans?

About to start my first build and am going to use this case. What fan splitter was used for the build?

FYI, I'll be using the below MOBO... ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING LGA1151

Thanks KniHow, This is a big help and I can now see where fat can be cut off from my parts list and build a realistic PC.

Much appreciated. :)

Thanks Kni. I created a parts list but I may have went a little overboard. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/AVPX1/saved/rhkHxr FYI... I listed the ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA MOBO because I need WIFI and want Bluetooth.

By the way, I've learned a lot the past few days thanks to your post. :)

I'd like to be around $1700 but really want a GTX1080.

Thanks Mark. I'll rethink and save some $$ to put towards a monitor. :)

Do I need to get Thermal Paste for the CPU or does it come with it already applied?

By the way. I found a coupon for jet.com. "Triple15" gets you 15% with a maximum of $30 off on your first 3 orders. I'll be using this on my three most expensive parts. Hope others find this useful. Example: MSI - COMPONENTS GTX 1080 SEA HAWK GEFORCE GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X $702.55 TRIPLE15 Discount Code -$30.00 Total $672.55
