This is one of the best, if not the best sfx psu. love the modular flat cables, and the new 120mm super quiet fan. i am gald i got this instead of the smaller sfx silverstone sells. The fan makes a big difference. 500w plenty power. The fan only activates if it reached over 48 deg, i believe.

Really good PSU. Silent even under load Massive fan. Make sure your build can fit a SFX-L though as they as longer.

I’m so glad I went with the SFX power supply. It made dealing with cables easier, it didn’t block the fans as much, and it left a lot more space open for airflow. I orientated it so that it is acting as an exhaust since there are no dedicated fans for that.

Originally I was abit sceptical about buying this PSU since people were saying that there were issues with eletrical whine but it seemed that 2.0 version remedied that problem by having the fans operate all the time. So far, so good. Nice and quiet, cables were flexible, flat and easy to work with. Albeit a bit on the short side but it worked out better that way for cable management

modular & small, gets the job done. have yet to see the fan spin down to 0 RPM, but could just be my application.

Quite loud and cables not very nice at all, but does the job and is very efficient and no ludicrously priced. Nothing exceptional, nothing abysmal.

It works fine but I used the Corsair SFX in another build and I would pick the Corsair over this one. The fan in the Corsair is quieter. FYI, in the new version of the Silverstone SX500 the fan no longer shuts off during low usage.

I love the SFX-L power supply format. It's tiny, great for small builds. Frees up a lot of space. And the fanless settings under low load are wonderful and make for a very quiet computer. But when it does come under load, the 120mm fan works quietly and efficiently.
This power supply was great for overclocking.
