My friend who work at CERN requested me to build him a build that will last at-least 10 years, no budget whatsoever.
He's planning to use sketch-up to render collision of electron, proton, and other sub-atomic particle.

Any further suggestion?

Here's my proposal:

Only 1TB of storage? Also, very very expensive :D

Only need it for OS, programs, and algorithms, other data is directly stored in cloud. And it's PCI-E which is 5-10x faster than current standard SATA3 SSD.
Also yes, it's very expensive.. Any suggestion?

Yes, I looked at the data read/write speeds, which are incredible. It also costs more than my PC...

If there's no budget, why not go custom loop for cooling?

That should definitely happen for either the GPUs or CPUs in addition to adding some high end case fans.

Also, waiting for Noctua industrial fans.

Guess that solves it!

He'll be using OpenGL. No need for CUDA.

Go with my build but add the W9100 x4 and that will settle it

Don't really need high speed RAM since sketch-up doesn't take advantage of it. Also don't really need for SSD, any other data is directly stored into cloud. Also since HDD is increasingly decreasing, no need for 12x 3.5" drive bays. Also don't need monitor, and optical drive.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Looking good. If you post this build you will have the crown of most expensive pc posted on here.

I planned to, unfortunately I can't. Right after making the build (presumably late-september since the shipping require extra security), it'll be directly sent to germany before octoberfest.

******* germans..
