This doesn't affect me at all but i saw this -> https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BwR48d/intel-cpu-bx80635e52650v2 , and I was wondering why it dropped just over $800 on newegg

Well the CPU is just about 6 years old and so really the only people that would be looking for it would be companies that need to replace just the CPU rather than the whole PC. Newegg is probably going over their stock and trying to clear out older stuff to make way for new stuff so they are cutting prices so people will grab them.

Yes i agree with Rin_Itoh on that matter as this concerns:

And i agree with DaMysteryMan as price to performance concerns, especially for today applications, as you can get a way cheaper processor if you are looking for an multi core processor setup.
