Black screen when in Bios

Had my pc for about 3 weeks with no major issues. Was in bios yesterday then the screen just went black. Touching keyboard shaking mouse didn't do anything. After I reset pc it was back to normal.

PC is connected to DVI and uses gsync. I've seen flickering before on acer predator monitor but resolved that (I think).

I'm curious to if this was my PC or monitor itself, and if anyone had this happen before? After resetting it worked fine for rest of night.

Update: Tonight I was customizing the fans in bios again, and the screen went black again. Unplugged cable, plugged back in and turned off and on monitor. Luckily only happens when I'm in bios, but this is the second time so I'm a little concerned.

No one had this happen? I can provide more details if someone needs them, though there wasn't much to it. PC appeared to be running normally so I'll try diff display ports on GPU if it happens again
