What's a good, reasonably priced soundcard?

One that can beat the audio in my asrock z370 extreme 4 motherboard? It's not bad, but still not quite as good as https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LP3AMC2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have what's in the link but only prob is that when I play games, i can't hear myself talk through headset unless I want to deal with audio delay which makes me feel like someone put something in my drink.

Currently using sennheiser game ones that sound really good, but when I look at sound cards they can easily cost more than I'd care to spend.

I don't think I'm an audophile by any means but I want my sennheisers to reach their full potential. More clarity, volume, and bass. Currently I crank them and while acceptable, wish there was a little more juice to them. PS I'm not deaf lol, excellent hearing btw
