Question about the boost speeds of 8700k

I haven't overclocked my 8700k yet, have a dark rock pro 4 cooler on it and it seems to be doing the job nicely as I haven't seen temps exceed 55 degrees C.

It looks like all cores are boosting to exactly 4295 without me touching anything, but they advertise at 4.7 boost. What would it take to get 4.7 easily since it looks like heat isn't an issue.

Also have an asrock z370 motherboard.

The processor would achieve 4.7GHz only with one core active.

So if all cores are running, 4.3GHz is what you will be getting at max., unless you overclock. :)

Good to know, thanks. I'll def be overclocking in the future but the boost alone is meeting all my needs for the next year or so.

Then you are good to go!

4.3GHz across all threads isn't a slow speed. :)
