I would advise that you go ahead and jump to the 6600k, but that doesn't come with a stock cooler, and purchasing an aftermarket cooler would certainly go over the 750$ budget unless you cheapen up the RAM.

You generally only need 8gb of RAM if you're gaming, and for a 750 $ build, that's all you'll need.

With the 6600k in combination with the Scythe FUMA, you should have decent leeway when it comes to overclocking.
