Building a PC for a friend. He has an OS, but nothing else. He'd like to spend $1000 or less, but is willing to go slightly higher.
He bought No Man's Sky and his current PC, and it won't even run. This PC needs to be able to run that game well.

Minimum requirements for No Man's Sky: CPU: Intel Core i3
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
Video Card: nVidia GTX 480, AMD Radeon 7870
Free Disk Space: 10 GB

Wow, that was fast! Thanks!
Does he need an unlocked processor and liquid cooler though? If not, where can I invest that extra money.
I do like nVidia, but wouldn't the 480 be a better choice?
Thanks again.

Don't go with AnimeGamer's list, change the power supply if you decide on that one.
