Is it worth it to get DDR4 RAM with lower CAS?

Current RAM is 4x4GB, 2400MHz and 14 CAS. It's just a part list right now, but here it is.

I'm not really too worried about performance, just wanna know if I should look for 12CAS or something instead. :l I really don't wanna be forced to open it up later and put in new RAM or anything else. I'm also fine with 2x4GB for a while.

15 is the standard CL for lower-clock ram, while up to 17 is acceptable for 3000+ MHz ram.

CL14 on any ddr4 ram is great.

I'd honestly just get CL15 for alot cheaper

I just found this...

It's a bit cheaper, and a few dollars makes almost no difference when I'm already paying $1,000 or more overall. Based on what I've seen, looking through this site's list of RAM, I won't save a lot going with 15CAS. It's 16GB, so I'll save around $25 or so. :l anyway, probably gonna go with the 4x4GB RAM I first chose because 2400MHz and it's 4 sticks so if any of them just stop working, the others should last a bit longer.

Just games. Though there's a small chance I might get into other things later. Though I only expect to sometimes stream for bored friends. They're bored, I stream for them :P

ok, so nothing will be any faster? No smoother streaming or anything?

What if I had 25CAS?

ok, thanks :) I guess I won't worry about it. People have always said: RAM IS RAM IS RAM IS RAM
