Windows' Behavior with new Hardware

I haven't done anything yet and wanted to look into it first before messing up. So, I'm wondering if windows will still work normally if I add, remove, or swap out hardware. Like if I buy most my parts except the video card. Would windows still work after I install it, or would some anti-piracy thing prevent me from changing/adding new hardware? (I only use Windows for games. Otherwise I would be on Linux. Linux just lacks full compatibility for all games, and Idk if it can run everything I want to play. Also don't want delays for patches)

If you were to install a GPU after you install Windows, you would still be able to use. Just download the drivers for your GPU.

Pretty much you can install and change any hardware except the motherboard and Windows will still work.
