Yeah I trust ASUS a bit more and love their color schemes. If I use a 990fx board in another build, I might go with the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0. I don't like the look of the M5A99X EVO because it has a white PCI-E x16 slot which is way out of the blue/brown/black color scheme.

The m5a99fx pro r2.0 looks black, if it is brown it's a very dark brown

Yeah in sunlight you can see the tint of brown.
