Our ninth charity: water completion report arrived! Thanks to your support, we were able to fund 8 drilled wells and 2 hand-dug wells for 2,275 people in Ethiopia.

We received this back in April, but it fell through the cracks and I forgot to post it. I'm happy to share this with you now. (And we just received two more completion reports that I'll be posting soon.)

The specific projects were:

Check out the interactive map courtesy of charity: water showing the details of all the completed projects sponsored by PCPartPicker.

PCPartPicker is supported through affiliate commissions from participating retailers. One of our founding principles is to help those in need by donating a portion of our earnings to charity. We do this because it is important to us.

When you purchase components through retailer links on PCPartPicker you're not only supporting this site, you're helping provide clean water and sanitation to people in need. 100% of donations to charity: water go directly to the field.

Thank you for being a part and helping make this happen!

This is wonderful. The world needs two or three billion more people just like you fine folks at PCPP. Your humanity is truly spectacular and from now on I will purchase all my computer parts right from this site to help bring clean water to those who don't have it.

As I always say, every little bit counts. These reports just go to show you don't need to help a whole country all at once to make a difference. Keep it up! Can't wait to hear how many more people you've helped in the coming reports!

Very awesome. May I ask what was the reason of using hand-dug wells? Is it more economically efficient?

PrussianFury 2 points 2 months ago

This is wonderful! Any chance you can set the Amazon links to go to Amazon Smile, so we can spread the love as much as possible?

PCPP is the best! This is an amazing thing to see. I truly wish more businesses had the same sense of humanitarian contribution. People and Tech coming together to make this world better, it is truly something to be admired!

This is probably the number 1 reason I'd tolerate actual ads on this site. I love that you guys value charitable work. I would be happy to contribute a few dollars if you guys ever decide to do a fundraiser for this. Kudos on the great work!
