This is my very first computer build. I took a lot of time thinking about what I would want and if I needed to overclock or not. It's basically going to be my everyday computer but going with some gaming and video editing so it's perfect of the two worlds.
At the end of the day I said I'm not going to overclock but I still wanted something like an i7 and here we are now.
I did my best in terms of cable management I think.
Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3
It's an i7 without integrated graphics for $100 less. You can't beat that price at all.
Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Can't say much about this CPU cooler, it works and I picked it because of the price and the fan wasn't transparent at all like the 212 EVO which I didn't like. I might have went overboard with this as I'm not overclocking but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Arctic Silver 5
It's the best thermal paste from the reviews.
This motherboard was something I had to think about for a while. I was thinking would I need to overclock in the near future or not and I probably won't need to so I got this cheap but reliable motherboard. It comes with everything you need but you do need a fan hub like I did since there's only one chassis fan port.
Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333
Before you say anything about the price. I had this in my old HP desktop back in 2010 or something and I didn't really need to buy ram. So YAYY to saving money lol.
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
Insanely fast boot time. I still have 200GB left so maybe I should've gotten the smaller size but it's always better to go bigger am I right?
Western Digital Black Series 1TB
I got this used but it still had 3 years left on warranty so you can't complain. It's not too loud, I think my case fans are louder than it.
EVGA GTX 760 2GB Superclocked
I was thinking of going with the 750ti but ultimately decided on getting this. It is used but I needed it because of the small gap between the graphics card and power supply I went with a blower style graphics card instead. It runs all of my games at max settings though I haven't played every game out there yet.
Fractal Design Define Nano S
I wanted something that's not a mid-tower case or something even higher so I picked this because of the great airflow and cable management is great though can be a headache if you want to used extensions like I was planning but I backed out of it since this looks cleaner in my opinion.
It's a power supply and it's by EVGA so awesome customer service and fast rebates.
Fractal Design GP14 140mm
It's a matching case fan that's all.
