Description

This was my first custom PC build and I am very happy with the way it turned out. Each component works remarkably well with one another. Considering it's now over 2 years old the performance still pumps out a good punch. The cooling system performs beyond expectations to allow for a 1.0 GHz overclock boost for the CPU bringing it up from 3.5 GHz to 4.5 GHz. This PC build is ideal for all-around use and doesn't fall short of any particular job.

Part Reviews

CPU

Good CPU with a balance of power, speed, and stability. Capable of extreme overclocking with a strong cooling system.

CPU Cooler

This is the most kickass liquid cooler in my opinion. This thing works so well it's almost overkill. Very stable and reliable too. 10 out of 10!

Motherboard

Great motherboard for gaming and good all around. Stable performance with no real issues. Good number of USB 3.0 inputs. BIOS has acted up a few times but nothing serious. Overall, a great motherboard.

Nice but that one exhaust behind will have a hard time venting all that hot air from your rig I suggest the top fans be exhausting hot air from the top instead of blowing it inside your rig. my thoughts.

Agreed, you should really have exhaust out the top. Also let me say that i have never seen that much silver sharpie in one computer.

I can conform this, I used to have a top intake fan and got hot temps (I have an FX-8350(which is OC'ed to 4.4-4.6Ghz with a TX3 lol http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-tx3/ ) and an R9 Fury, to be fair.) I've noticed some cooler temps, and definitely better airflow. The CPU runs at around 60C while playing games like PUBG, with 100% fanspeed, which is LOUD (Or else it will thermal throttle) and the R9 Fury runs at about 50C at 45% fanspeed. which is decently quiet. Remember, hot air rises while cool air falls, and you probably aren't going to be dealing with any cool air, so just help that hot air rise. I love this build though, its a fancier version of my first build (: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/tcJV3C

Lol. Yes, the silver paint pen and I had a bit of fun one day during the use of some "interesting" substances. Hehe.

Oh ya... Thank you for mentioning that. Although, I've already gone ahead and done so roughly 6 months ago, it's nice to hear that others agree with that decision. And I've also installed wire fan covers for both fans to add protection.
