Description

BUILD COMPLICATIONS:

The building process was not bad. The only component that made complications was the motherboard. First, it was the I/O shield. The shield was a sponge type material and it sat too for back for the the board to seat correctly on the screw holes on the case. I took some major effort to push the motherboard back onto its screw holes, and put the screws in. Which goes into the next complication. The back left screw (looking from the front) was too bulky for the video card to fit into the slot. I actually took the screw out and took a mounting screw for the H100i (Which were the same width and fit perfectly) and put that in place of the motherboard screw. If you have a keen eye you can see that in one of the photos.

USES:

I use this build for mainly gaming and After Effects Animations.

GAMING EXPERIENCE:

The gaming is amazing on this build. I love the Silence it delivers whenever you are gaming. The Twin Frozr V technology on the video card is impressive. I have never heard the fans in the card unless i am intentionally pinning them at 100%.

Case

Great Mini ITX case! If you are looking for a smaller chassis that is sturdy and easy to haul this is for you. The handle and feet are both surprisingly sturdy and allows well ventilation. Would Recommend.

How does she handle with AE renders with 16GB of Ram ?. i am also building mine for Adobe After Effects but i'm going to buy the 5820K.

I have only rendered a few comps on the new PC, but she has worked flawlessly. Rendering is quick, and I haven't seen any tearing, stutters, etc. My guess is with the 5820k, the renders are going to be 10x faster.

Really nice build! I really like the ssd, i might be considering it for my build!. Only thing I would've done is used a xeon instead of a i7,but thats really just a personal preference.

I was actually considering a xeon, but I decided not to go with one because I didn't need the extra features that comes with a xeon processor. So I ended up going for an i7. Maybe I'll upgrade to a xeon when I do my annual upgrade.

How's that MSI GTX 970 doing for you haha. I plan to buy 2 in a month or so as a upgrade from a single Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB.

It works great. I have played many games, Ex. Watch Dogs 4k, Shadow of Mordor 1080, Assassins Creed 4 4k etc. and haven't seen any stuttering or lag. It runs super cool when under load. I really give MSI and NVidia props for creating a great, all-around powerful card. Would definitely recommend it.

Good build, but the H100i is a bit overkill for a non-overclocking cpu :)
