Description

I had a previous gaming pc that I built over 5 years ago. It was finally time for me to upgrade as I had been saving money over the summer to build a new pc. I wanted to build something that would be able to handle anything at 1080p and also be able to upgrade later on if I needed too.

With that being said I decided to choose the Ryzen 7 3700x because I did want to stream in the future and having the extra cores and threads would be a plus.

Everything else is pretty much explanatory and I am super happy with my build.

Currently my cpu temps are in the mid 40C at idle and under stress it maxed out at 76C.

Part Reviews

CPU

Amazing CPU for the price. If you want to multitask while gaming this is definitely the CPU to go with.

CPU Cooler

Great AIO with an easy installation for my first time. Keep my CPU nice and cool

Motherboard

Overkill motherboard for even my 7 3700x. Do not need to buy a x570 motherboard when you can just buy one of these. Easy to use bios and a plus for the error code display

Memory

Nice and simple design. Easy to get 3200mhz and 16gb is enough for what I need it for.

Storage

Very fast SSD. But looking back, I would probably just go with the 970 EVO m.2.

Storage

Regular hdd. Great for storing my memes

Video Card

Good GPU for all the games I want to run at 1080p. Looking back I would have wanted to get a 2070 or 2060 super. But I got it for $180 from a friend and it runs fine. Definitely do not get this brand new.

Case

Actually got the h510i, but it is a very nice and clean looking case. A little bit hard to work with regarding the psu shroud and the drive bay, but I make do. Nice cable managing and the movable radiator bracket is very helpful.

Power Supply

Great PSU so far haven't had any troubles.

Case Fan

With the new CAM software update (August 28) being able to control fans and look at temps have been much easier than before. Highly recommend these fans as they are very nice rgb wise and also pull air well.

Very nice clean build. What wrong with evga 1070? At 180 can't argue with that price. I used have a 1070 ftw and it was awesome. Enjoy the PC.

Definitely true about the price. But if I had the extra $200-$250 i would have used it for a 2060 super or 2070 for a gpu that would be more reliable 3-4 years in the future. I am very happy with my 1070 but it is getting quite old.

Yea if I had cash to burn on a PC I'd be going for a three fan white 2070 super myself too. Right now saving up for a rx 5700xt for my birthday.

Yeah so my case I used in my build was the H510i but pc partpicker doesn’t have it in the list to choose from. So i just used the H500i as a part filler. But thanks!

Nice build sorry for asking this question but what are your thoughts on the psu?

Sorry for the very very late response! But, so far the psu has been great. It's not as loud as I thought it would be and no other problems have come from it either. I would definitely recommend.

Very nice build! I am thinking of going with this motherboard for a 3700x, how has it held up? Would you recommend this? And does it have bios flashback so I can update to 3000 series bios? Cheers

Honestly, this motherboard was my greatest buy for the build. It handles the 3700x well and the bios flashback was very easy to do, considering you have another laptop/pc to download the flashback on to a usb. But, I would highly recommend this mobo for the 3700x, it is so reliable I wont be even thinking about upgrading anytime soon.
