Description

This is my first build ever. I'm only a 13 year old so I can't really go overkill on the parts but I'm still really happy about the results of this build. I haven't had a lot of time to check what it can do I will edit as I find time.

Cpu: Very solid Cpu, the extra cores that Hyper Threading provides helps a heap for video editing. Overall a beast of a reasonably priced Cpu.

Cpu Cooler: Lots of good reviews, Thinking of upgrading to a water cooling loop in the future.

Mobo: Overall solid motherboard, I've heard a lot of good reviews, and I honestly agree with all of them.

Ram: Nothing fancy, Heard good things about the Fury series, hasn't let me down and hopefully it wont in the future.

Hdd: Best budget 1Tb hdd I could find. Going to buy a ssd in the future.

Gpu: Upgrading from a old GTX 8600gt to the GTX 970 is a awesome experience, The fps is real haha. Very quiet and very cool, Might OC in the future.

Case: A very good case, Pretty much all metal which is good, the sound dampening features really work which is really good. Very quiet and very cool case.

Psu: Plenty of watts for what I need currently. Good reviews and I agree with the reviews, it's silent until I start pushing it.

WiFi Card: Good card. Not much else just a WiFi card.

Headset: Have been using the a40's for a while I love them. Btw they came with the mix amp 2013 edition.

Speakers: High Quality speakers, sound real good.

I ran into one problem that was really just a derp, I forgot to plug in the Cpu power, so the computer would just flick on and off ._.

Where exactly did you buy the cpu from for it to be that expensive ?

I'm assuming Australia. All the parts have AUD after the price. Also, not sure why you were downvoted. Here - have an upvote!

Im already from aus so it didnt show AUD. Prices are off the roof even for australia prices though which is interesting. 4790k here are generally about $400 and the Astros under $200.

People on here downvote for who knows what reasons. Some just do it to troll.

I was thinking that price was high for Australia, too. OP hasn't replied to anyone on this thread yet, so I guess we might not ever find out the reason behind the high price!

I'd recommend to locate your hdd on the bottom cage to increase the direct airflow from the front fans. Awesome btw +1

A couple years of saving later and I have a pc. I was originally planning on having a 1400 budget but I ended up going to 1700 on parts, the rest of the money was for things I already had

Nrdag01, 14 year old here, my planned build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fV4PNG Curious where you got the money, best place I could think of getting money is getting a legitimate summer job in like McDonalds as apparently 14 year olds can legally work in the states.
