Description

This was a first time build I helped my friend with. Total build time was 5 hours with software and overclocking. Sitting at 3.7 Ghz stable. Will be doing more benchmarks later.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is a great air cooler, keeping the FX 6300 at a cool 35C under load while overclocked to 3.7Ghz. It is also much more quiet under load than my H100i Liquid cooler is while idle.

EVGA 1050 Ti is a mini powerhouse, which should be great for 1080p gaming, and is extremely quiet and cool, around 50c under load.

The case was an obviouse choice, as Colin loves green and it's the same case as mine which I love. Great to build in and looks amazing.

It says that you built this on May 4th, but it's may 3rd. Time lord confirmed?! Also you can easily push the CPU more if you choose.

There's no way that one place can be a day ahead than the other at this time

I won't go searching every time zone, so I'll assume you are right.

Hit the wrong key?

Not a bad budget build. +1.

Why not a G4560? If this is for gaming the intel chip should be as good or just a bit better.

I agree. I switch from a 6300 overclocked fx to the g4560 and saw better results. Look at my fallout build. It shows benchmarks results.

And you can get more than 3.7ghz... I had mine to 4.4ghz

This build seems quite mediocre and put together without proper prior research. I mean seriously, the case costs more than the CPU and that PSU is quite mediocre.

Interesting build, but you should be able to get more out of the FX 6300. You could get over the 4GHZ mark with it.

The old FX-6300 is a terrible buy especially in 2017, considering you could've gotten a budget Ryzen or Skylake/Kabylake chip

Those little 1050ti's are so cute.

You can push this chip up to 4.5 ghz provided you have good cooling for it mine is clocked at around 4.3
