Description

So this is my first ever build the pc I had before was pre-built by CyberPowerPC and served its purpose very well!

This build is for Uni which starts next week I major in Computer Science and Engineering so I do a lot of computer work just with programs besides some of my classes are also online. I also like to heavy game, record, design and do renderings.

The case was a living hell I have quite big hands so getting things inside was a hassle I don't know how people said it was a breeze to build in.

I had another kit of RAM by g.skill but it arrived DOA so I went to my local bestbuy and just got myself the corsair vengeance which is very nice so far it works at least :/

I'll probably upload better photos with my actual Nikon camera instead of my iPhone.

Part Reviews

CPU

Very nice and I enjoyed the nice case badge that came included :)

CPU Cooler

Keeps the temps decently low I kinda wish I tried out another AIO but my last one was super loud so couldn't take the chance.

Motherboard

Easy BIOS and very sturdy board I dropped a screwdriver onto it... and it doesnt seem to have caused problems thankfully.

Memory

Pretty good RAM low profile and just standard black.

Storage

Decent SSD's no problems so far.

Storage

From a previous build, I used it to store my recordings and audio clips that's its current use now as well.

Storage

I can't tell if it's actually faster than a standard HDD or not? I use it to store my 200+ games so no complaints.

Video Card

Very large card It was kind of annoying to fit in at first but I finally realised the problem.

Case

Very nice case I already started putting badges and my pro era sticker on it

It wasn't that easy for me to build in but I have large hands and it's my first build so probably my fault.

Power Supply

Very nice and quiet

+1 for the black cables

Case Fan

They glow white and simple fans as far as I can tell.

I wanted to get SP120s from Corsair but bestbuy only had these but so far I can't complain.

You remind me of one of my mates from our first week at uni, he spent his entire loan in a day on upgrading his pc. Have fun living on pot noodles and left overs for the next foreseeable future.

Good job on the cable management.

I didnt take a loan out thankfully lol I received a bit of money from my grandfather and he told me to do what makes me happy with it so figured id get a nice machine as I love computers. Ramen isnt that bad with sriracha!

Thank you, many others pointed it out tho my CPU cable should be rerouted so I'll probably be doing that for a more cleaner look.

Nice build ! Just a question : Why did you route the CPU alim cable like this ? Can't you go behind the mobo ?

I can but I built the PC for around 6 hours and had so many problems I was just over it and it took me like 30 minutes to plug it in as I had to use two fingers even with that back fan taken off

Do you know your photos are all sideways? I'm thinking about taking up computer science also.

I'd recommend it unless you have a passion for other stuff.

Yeah that is very true but it took me at least 30 minutes of plugging it in with two fingers I don't know if its even worth it to try again lol

Is it normal if my top covers are a bit yellow-ish, instead of the same lucid white that the entire case has?

Doesnt sound very normal?

Well mine are like a washed mate white so I don't know if I should ask phanteks to replace them or not. What do you suggest? https://imgur.com/a/AoLVo
