Description

Note - Aside from the 1st picture all photos are in order of Oldest 'version' of the build to the latest

This was my very first build and it started out life as an office PC, the 7700k on heavy duties and not too much spent elsewhere. Over time it's evolved into much more than just an office PC!

Pretty much all that remains of the original PC is the Hard Drive, the M.2 drive, 16GB of RAM, the motherboard and processor. Over time the GTX1060sc got swapped for a 1080ti 11Gb, I added another 16Gb of RAM, The 600w EVGA 600B got swapped for a Corsair RM750X, the case got swapped for a Fractal Design Meshify C and the corsair fans swapped out for Noctua ones.

After all this the PC is unrecognisable from the first PC I built but the core components are still there.

As is usual, there's still room to improve but the performance is not a reason to upgrade (the reason would be I want to!) I use this every day for work (it crushes boring office work!) along with playing games and editing videos.

I do have some small changes in the pipeline - cabling and lighting but I'll update the build if/when that's done.

Edit - thanks to next day delivery I've already implemented the cabling and lighting along with the addition of an UpHere GPU Bracket (just the day after posting this build!!)

I like that the wiring got cleaner as the build evolved. :)

No updates to report sorry, the cabling and lighting is done (see the first pic :) ), I think that's it for this one. I do have plans in the pipeline but it's going to change this PC so much it'll be better off as a whole new build as it's a different mobo, RAM, CPU and cooling. I'm still waiting on parts for that one. If you want news of new stuff, I'll be posting pics on Instagram (same username as on here :) )

i'm looking to pick up the same monitor - could you tell me how the freesync on it handles the 1080ti while gaming?
