Description

This is my original build back from high school in 2013. The only original parts that remain are the motherboard and RAM. This is what I upgraded throughout the years:

-CPU: i3-3210 -> i5-3470s -> i7-3770 -CPU Cooler: Intel cooler -> Cryorig C7 -> Corsair H100i V2 -Storage: WD Green 500 GB HDD -> Samsung EVO 850 SSD 500 GB -Video Card: Nvidia GTX 650 -> GTX 750 -> GTX 960 -> GTX 1060 -> GTX 1070 Ti -Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 -> Corsair Carbide 200R -> NZXT S340 -> NZXT H500 -Power Supply: Corsair TX550M -> Corsair RM 750i -OS: Windows 8 -> Windows 10 -Monitor: Asus VS228H -> Asus MX279H -> LG UD2458 -> Asus VG245H

As far as upgrading, I honestly do not have a reason to. I am not against upgrading, but my system plays all my games at the high-very high graphics setting at 1080p locked at 75 FPS. I think my CPU and GPU upgrades helped throughout the years. We will see.

I was curious about just the same thing. The drawer looks alot like something that'd come from IKEA, thus I checked their site.

It's called an ALEX Desk... I knew the drawer from my ALEX Drawers... :)

Those are cable extensions from Phanteks I purchased from Amazon.

IKEA Alex. If you do get it, make sure to use a hole-saw to drill a hole. I've provided a picture at the very end to show it.

Very clean setup, love the 3770. Great build!

Very nice clean build! Might want to consider a Ryzen 5-flavored upgrade soon as 4c/8t at 3.x GhZ is a bit lackluster for such a powerful GPU.

Thank you! Took me a few years to get it how I want. Can't say I'm done cause it's addicting lol, but it's pretty close to where I want it to be.

It's fine for me, but it comes down to personal preference.

Just a tip, your neck must get sore from the monitor being that high. Best position for your neck is top of monitor at eye level, but each to their own!

But clean build! +1

My neck doesn't hurt but preventative care is always good! I've lowered the height on it. Thanks for your comment!

Yeah, I'm holding out as long as possible. I honestly see no reason. I made all the aesthetic upgrades I wanted to. White GPU backplate on order.

I agree, 5 years is very reasonable!
