Description

Looks dusty in the pics but that's just the camera flash, its actually very clean. My very first gaming build, under a very tight budget. I plan to eventually replace the case, motherboard and CPU. The two hard disks are from a laptop and a scrapped PS3 console. I look forward to your feedback guys! (Especially if someone can explain why this graphics card constantly encounters issues with more recent games!).

What issues are you having with your R7 260x? I have one and its perfectly fine

Alot of games, for example, Battlefield 4 and Deus Ex HR, often just start having micro freezes. Every few seconds it'll freeze for 2 seconds, then resume. Makes for a poor gaming experience. It also does not like PCMark7's bench marking tool. Video driver flips out on the video playback test.

What resolution are you playing your games in? Are the game settings completely maxed out? Maybe try and update the drivers?

Usually settings are maxed, but for games like Battlefield 4, where I know its not a good idea to stress the system too much, i step the settings down to medium or high, rather than max. I updated the catalyst control center, and from what I know that gets drivers by itself. As for resolutions, I always set everything to full screen at 1280x1024.

That's really strange. The only game that I've had with micro freezes is FEAR 2. Maybe try lowering all the settings on your games. Are you using Catalyst Beta drivers or just the normal AMD drivers? After I switched to the Beta drivers I noticed that the freezing on FEAR 2 stopped.

I believe I'm using the normal drivers. I'll look into the beta ones though, thanks!

potato camera with no internal shots, not great for the pictures...

As for the 260x, i really cant explain why it would have microfreezing (yes, i read the other comments) but i really hope you can sort it out as this total build should do great for a budget gaming computer

Believe it or not, this camera is advertised as an HD webcam. Personally i find its detail also very lacking. I'll see if i can get some better shots as well as some internals.

Potato as in good, or potato as in bad?

Bad for sure I think. Blurry pics but it is what it is. Try stepping down the settings on some of your games and see if that helps with the Micro freezes, if it doesn't there may be an issue with your card, you can try contacting the manufacturer.
