Description

Update: Finally got my hands on a Acer X34 Monitor. It has been a huge upgrade and I absolutely love it!

This has been my 2nd PC that I have built. I'm really happy with the way it turned out so far. I originally wanted to put an entire water loop in this PC. But I figured that it wouldn't be the best things for me to do right now with my line of work, which keeps me moving around. The only thing that I might add in the future is maybe adding another titan x, if I wanted to get the acer x34 monitor. Which I've really been thinking about picking up when they become available again. Well let me know what you guys think. If you guys have any questions just let me know. :D

Wow, a PCI-E SSD! I've seen maybe 2 or 3 builds on this site with those... +1

Every who says you should've bought a 980 Ti is kinda right... But, as you said, it wasn't available at the time. TBH, for rendering, I would go with a Titan X any day :D

Love dat backplate, and good job with cable management!! those light bars on the dominator R.A.M is awesome good job, but tbh you should've got the black backplate for the Titan it would have matched better but looks sick none the less.

How long have you had it, how do you like it and do you have a link to some gameplay? Was thinking about getting it.

It records at HD 60FPS.... I don't see how it can be bad.... UNLESS YOUR A CONSOLE PEASENT WHO NEEDS THIS INSTEAD OF FREE SERVICES THAT YOU CAN RECORD AT 4K!!!!!! But other than that.....

I'm interested to know about that Monitor because I never brought anything from Acer. How did you like that model? Are you happy with it, considering the dough you shelled out? Thank you. And you get my vote too!

Well my last monitor was as 23 inch 1080p by acer and I liked it. As for the new X34 Predator, I absolutely love it. I'm glad that I purchased it, it has its flaws though. Not all programs or games scale correctly with the monitor, but that's not Acer's fault. Some games main menu are in only 1080P, so you'll have black bars on the sides. But once you actually get into the game it goes full screen with it's amazingness. The price is very expensive, but the technology in the monitor is fairly new. So you can expect it to be at this price. Even if you don't get this one, Acer has some good monitors. Hope this helped! :)

It is a very fast ssd, especially since it's my boot drive.

Pretty nice build there, what are you using this for? I'm really curious to see if you're pushing that titan x or not :P

I do use it for rendering and streaming mostly.

A single 1080p 60Hz monitor with a Titan X....... Why

Could you PLEASE read the description first?

Doesnt stop the Titan X from being stupid, the 980Ti is the same with half the VRAM and $300-$400 cheaper. The performance gains on the Titan X are basically none

Its his money let him spend it how he wants to :D

  1. Its his money.
  2. He is planning to upgrade to a much higher res monitor.
  3. Who says he's gaming on the thing? For a lot of things but gaming a Titan X still makes a lot of sense.
  4. Just look at the thing!
  5. (most important) thew313 said "When I purchased the Titan X, the 980ti wasn't out yet."

the titan is only really needed for rendering but if he did get the monitor it would make a little more sense

  • 2 points

He needs like 15 monitors then put them on the wall and then you would have a movie theater type setup lol.

Plan on getting an acer x34 when it becomes available.

It already is, but I think that you should have gone with 2 980tis in SLI right from the start. Its only around 300 more expensive than a single titan x, but WILL be able to take advantage of the x34's 100hz at high settings. Plus, at that resolution, 6 GBs of VRAM will be more than enough. Now excuse me while I pick up my jaw on the floor.

Yes I do agree, but when I purchased the Titan X, the 980ti wasn't out yet.

Yeah it's not a bad case, would look cool in white. Usually into corsair cases, but I decided to go with this one.

I've been looking at the back plates from V1-Tech, but I'm wondering how are they installed? Also, what version of Windows are you using? I've read that those mother boards are having trouble with 10. Especially when installed on an M.2 SSD.

  • 2 points

The back plate just has some magnets that match up with the screws. Using windows 10 on my Intel 750 1.2TB PCI-E SSD with no problems.

  • 1 point

Thank you much, I'm glad to know that the back plate is attached through magnets. I'd be afraid to start taking apart a gpu to change its aesthetics, though I'm not above it. And glad to know that the Deluxe isn't giving problems to 10.

How did you manage the pump, fan and USB cables on the block?

Not sure what you mean by that?

I don't see the cables coming out of the waterblock and I was wondering how you managed to hide them.

Oh well there are 2 black cable coming out the the right side, its just kind of hard to see with the lighting. http://imgur.com/ZuhCqFD
