ZZZzzzzzzzzz Description Incoming!
My buddy was tired of his noisy rig so we decided to get rid of those annoying chassis fans as well as the AIO in order to reduce the dBA rating. Instead, we fitted his new rig with 3 Noctua fans and a Cryorig air CPU cooler in order to forego the pump noise. He had also decided that it was time for a chassis upgrade and purchased the Air 540. I tried talking him into the Fractal Design Define S in order to maximize the acoustics reduction but the look of the Air 540 won him over. If he's happy, I'm happy.
I apologize for the short, dull description and lack of detailed photos. We started working on it pretty late and were flying through the process in order to get it done ASAP. As a result, the photos do not follow my normal style. Regardless, here are some details for those who are curious:
All parts listed as "$0.00" were already purchased with his original build.
All parts with price were purchased for the upgrade.
HDD's are in RAID0.
The swap took a total of 30 minutes.
Even though I didn't create the build from scratch, I still wanted to include it in my profile in order to add to the library in case others were interested in the same process.
