Description

I had every intention of adding this build last year but then needed extra money for the cables and cable combs, so it had to wait. While it's no longer a new build, I went through the trouble of making it look nice and figured it might help someone who's interested in a similar build.

This is my second PC but my first completed build. Overall, I am very happy but shortly after this PC was finished, I built another PC for a friend and was amazed at how quiet air cooling is versus my setup. Mine is somewhat loud with an aggressive fan curve but I game with headphones on 99% of the time and don't notice it.

I would definitely go with air cooling a mini-ATX on my next PC for both savings, size and noise but I am going to try swapping out the case fans for some Be Quiet fans to see if it helps.

Edit: The pump on the 1080 FTW Hybrid failed so I had to RMA the card. I replaced it with a 1080Ti FTW3

Nice build! I crank all 12 of my fans to 100% when I game cause I can't hear em with headphones but I agree it's annoying if your doing something else lol

You put that beautiful system on the floor? Shame

I am cramped for space, but I put the case on a cart with rollers on the bottom so I can access the back and clean it. The dust filters on the Enthoo Evolve are very good. When I pulled it to install the cable combs and take some of the photos, there was very little dust inside and just had to use some canned air. If I had it to do over, I would probably get a mini ITX and mount that under the desk on the wall.

Nice build !!! I love that Phanteks case. How has that EVGA mother board holding up? Cable routing looks awesome.

Sorry, I hardly check my messages here. Thanks and the EVGA mobo is still doing well, but I had an issue where my M.2 socket or M.2 SSD failed. I am betting it's the socket and now am just using 860 EVOs. I don't recommend M.2 for gaming since it's more expensive and not worth the slight increase.

Thanks!!! We have a small 800 sq ft duplex and I converted a closet into a gaming corner.
