I use for video editing and Photoshop.
The video card will be Msi Gtx 550 ti for the moment and i will upgrade sun.
The SSD and 3 HDD it's on the way.

I think it will be geforce 970 or higher but 3 or 4 mounth.
with that impressive build, I would go no lesser than a gtx 970 or 2 in SLI
I was told by someone from Be Quiet! that you could not mount the cooler rotated that way; I'm glad to see it can be done. Please share details on what tricks are required, if any. I've seen a few tests done with coolers mounted traditionally and rotated as you have yours which prove that method works best. BTW, I like your build but why go so high-end with X99 but then such a low-end GPU?
probably due to the fact hes video editing more then gaming! Hes going to be upgrading soon though :D
Editing is extremely GPU dependent, so hes probably just waiting for a new shipment.
Could you inform me on how and why its so taxing for GPUs? Graphic design I could understand, but isn't video editing mainly the CPU's job?
It is the only time you can get a insane amount of a boost in video editing with a video card would be with a amd fire pro, a gpu made for rendering and editing.
I believe Nvidia's Quadros are also designed for that purpose, right?
Nvidia's cuda technology helps a lot with adobe premier, so a 970 or 980 would give you a huge boost
a GPU is designed with many small, slower cores that all work together to process a frame to be sent to the monitor (rendering frames in sony vegas). A CPU has a few, fast cores that CAN work together to process programming code and do other, non graphics intensive jobs (like in prime 95 where it finds prime numbers)
a CPU would process the stuff that makes a program work (like the editor and timeline system in sony vegas), and the GPU would run the preview screen and render the project when it is done being edited (frame by frame, so many cores could work at once on parts of a frame and finish it faster than fewer fast cores like in the CPU) (btw, from what i know, CPU encoding is more efficient than GPU encoding as well)
Then why are most video editing machines based on the CPU and not the GPU?

Beautiful photographic work man, the focus is spot on, and there's me blur or color noise. Its a pretty swell build too for its intended purpose too, I believe. Not much is needed for video editing and Photoshop.
