I built my first computer a year ago, after a lot of researching. It was for music production, photoshop, and gaming. It didn't do any of these too well, and after going to school for computer repair i realized i had built trash. one year later, with much more experience and knowledge, i've built the new "trash". So far ive only made one song on this new build, but the processing speeds are insanely fast compared to the previous one, and this computer is a joy to work on. I can actually play fallout 4 now, without the game stuttering every 10 seconds. i know it isn't much, but i'm really proud of this machine, and really happy with it. I plan to upgrade the gpu, add a hard drive, and fans in the near future.
I've never used an aftermarket cooler before and was new to the experience of installing one. seeing the parts that came in the box and the instructions were intimidating, it seemed like quite the headache. but it's actually not that complicated. this cooler is well worth the money and my cpu idles at 40 c, 60 under load.
I really like this board. bios were easy to work with, also my first time using uefi, that was cool, though a pretty common feature nowadays.
used as a boot drive. i boot in ~7 seconds, very nice.
holy **** this case is sick. grommets, lots of cable management room, 2 drive caddies, 2 SSD brackets psu shroud, comes with ties, built in LEDs, a port to add an LED strip that will sync with the built in ones, minimalist style, and for about $70. I am so glad i decided to get this case, its my favorite part of my build.
i got this off the facebook market for i think 20 bucks. with how much i paid, i can't complain. it hasn't given me any problems at all.
i got this for $150 and its my first >60hz monitor, and it blew me away. its also the most premium feeling monitor ive ever owned. the 144hz and 27 inches make it a perfect hybrid for gaming, but also watching videos/movies.
my only complaint is the speakers are terrible. i know monitor speakers are always terrible, but these ones are terrible even with that in mind. im actually kind of impressed with how bad they are. maybe its just something wrong with my unit. it has the typical problem of the speakers being very tinny and lacking any low end, but this one is really bad.
as of the time im writing this, this is one of the best mice out there. zero latency wireless, great switches, extremely comfortable, and extremely light.
there are drawbacks. the price is extremely high, and this isnt going to change until low latency wireless becomes more common. i hear a lot of people talking about problems with double clicking after owning the mouse for some time. i havent owned it for long enough, we'll see what happens. one issue for me is this mouse can be hard to keep a good grip on if you have sweaty hands like me. i plan to get some grips for it.
despite the issues, this blows all my previous mice out of the water and i dont see myself swapping this out for anything, any time soon.
these are fantastic headphones, ive owned them for 4 years and the earpads and headband have only just started to go bad.
EQ is flat, frequency response is great. ive always been really happy with these.
