Description
Hey everyone, this is my first build ever. Cable management sucks XD.
So when I saw the Ryzen CPU performance and the new RX 580 coming out, I decided to pull the trigger and build my own PC. I was gaming on console before and also playing some games (CSGO, Dota 2, Life is strange). I also do programming since I'm studying software engineering and also I'm trying to develop a game, so I had to get a good CPU and good Ram.
Building this PC was very easy but stressful because I didn't have an anti-static wrist strap and I also dropped the SSD once! (still works :P) I think the hardest part was screwing the CPU cooler to the motherboard. My cable management sucks (like seriously) but I'm planning to work on it soon.
I didn't have any problems during the build except that I forgot to put some screw mounts for the motherboard because my case is an ATX and my board is m-ATX. So basically my motherboard is held by 3 screws because one is loose too... I have to work on that too. I couldn't remove the motherboard after placing it (I was scared to break something because it wasn't moving at all when I was pulling). Everything looks solid but I'm gonna have to fix that with the cable management.
Performance is really what I was expecting, 1080p 60fps on high/ultra. Everything is fast from the windows boot to copying large files and installing stuff. I'm really happy with that!
Thanks for reading. Leave your thoughts and comments :)
Part Reviews
Motherboard
Good motherboard! It has everything I need.
Memory
It's just ram with good speed (could have went for faster but I read that faster than 2666 is not guaranteed to work). I might upgrade for faster if people say it's worth it.
Storage
My boot drive. Might get one with more storage later.
Storage
My main storage space. Decent speed.
Video Card
Cheapest RX 580 8G when I bought it. It has amazing performance for 1080p. All the games I play run at an average of 60fps on high/ultra.
Case
Amazing case. Roomy and easy to work inside it! And the LEDs look nice :)
Power Supply
Semi-modular, nice power supply.
Monitor
It's an IPS monitor. It has AMD Freesync and 75Hz refresh rate when you activate it. All that for a low price :D
Mouse
Software needed to be reinstalled to fix a problem (mouse not recognized by their own software smh). Other than that it's a good mouse for gaming.
