More pics when I get around to it.
So when I built this thing a few years ago, I was so hyped that I just could not contain myself, as you can see with this abomination of mixed up parts. This was mostly a 'because I can' build, and I'm pretty disappointed with myself that it turned out this way.
The reason I wanted to make something this powerful was because I wanted to stream games at high settings and render at acceptable speeds. Unfortunately, I didn't understand what it meant to make dumb purchases.
I started off with the normal set of parts and the one AMP card, but ended up upgrading with an ssd, second card (diffrent model, refurbished, lower clock speed), and the extra 8GB of RAM was a birthday present like two years later.
The 1440p screen was also a mistake, but now that I've used it for these two years, I couldn't imagine using anything lower. It's a great screen and these two cards in sli really make it work well. I'm able to play Fallout 4 with just under max settings at 60 fps with small dips when things get hairy, but I still can't play MvM in TF2 1080p windowed without dropping down to like 25 fps.
Other than the weird part configuration, everything works perfectly and does exactly what I want it to when I want it to. It stomps in the fps department for anything other than modded settings.
I haven't overclocked anything, and don't plan to.
I have since upgraded to Windows 10 and have had little to no issues with it.
Last 2 slots are never going to be filled with cards. 5/5
Crazy power with a crazy price
Got it for burning Blu-Rays, haven't done a single one. 5/5
I hate displayport with a burning passion but other than that 5/5
It's a monitor and it works.
I keep accidentally clicking my m5 key which is set to spam mouse clicks. Opens and closes everything. 5/5
Mouse wheel is beginning to lose advanced functionality after about a year and a half of constant use. Feels like that might be a normal thing with mice it was good up until that point. Software hates me.
Button heaven though.
Absolutely fantastic other than the connection issues. Had to replace it after about 6 months cause I broke them. Broke them again just recently, ear cup is hanging by a wire. Sound quality is great. Hoping to upgrade to 933 soon.
Squishes my ears after about 4 hours with the XL pads. Sound quality is beyond amazing. Great for bass.
