This machine was built for the Bring Your Own Computer for Quakecon 2015 in Dallas. I ended up taking 3rd Place in the ID/Bethesda Category.
You will notice that the SLI Bridge is not connected. When it was made it was made for the incorrect space on a mATX mobo. I plan on fixing it once some RMAs get straightened out. Also the H is there to promote our website HexagonPC.com (partnered with Lavins) where we specialize in making builds like this as well as sleeving and sleeving supplies.
When the system was fully operational it performed amazingly. I didn't have time to overclock due to the hardships listed below.
I started buying parts for this build on Black Friday of 2014. It took a while to complete due to waiting on components to come in. The GPU blocks took over 3 months to get in and the order was placed in late February. Also the case took a while as well since it was ordered around Christmas time. I didn't receive it until March.
For a list of all the fittings that were used go HERE This list also includes everything else that was ordered for lighting, the pump and res, etc
Hardships with the build: The Monday before Quakecon my mother board died so I had to tear the whole system down and transport everything with me to rebuild. I ended up buying another motherboard at MicroCenter in Dallas and rebuilt everything in the hotel on the Wednesday.
While I was there I also had a GPU die out on me. Windows would recognize so I know the PCIE lane was working. Also saw that it was seated properly so bad GPU.
UPDATE Did some testing on the GPU and found that it was just a bad cable. The wires broke out the crimp. Easy fix and back in business.
Once I RMA the GPU and everything is running smoothly I will apply overclocks.
Idle temps with the loop on the GPUs were 23C and on ultra settings in The Witcher 3 and GTAV I never saw the temps go over 42C. CPU temps idled at 28-30C and in games I never saw it higher than 50C.
