THis build is primarily used for web surfing and light aming, the only complaint i have is the stock AMD cpu cooler is WAY louder thatn expected and will be replaced in the next month or two.
Not bad, good job.
Very nice build, I built one like it a few months ago for my younger brother. Same exact parts except for the case. I also put in a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO instead of using the stock heatsink/fan. Made a huge difference in heat and noise reduction. Think I bought it for $25 on sale.
This is EXACTLY what I was going to build for myself until I came across a little more cash. It's a great build, with even parts that will perform great for a while. Nice job!
I'm not sure if this is just me because I never have any issues with my FX 6300's stock cooler. Its literally always quiet, and is a tiny bit loud when I play BF4...
Maybye It is my bios, but I will be putting a CM EVO 212 on it in a couple of weeks.
You could've gotten the 750ti for that price and it's more powerful. the rest is good though.
i know, but i got the 7850 for $125 on sale i was already $200 overbudget anyway
Nice work! But you couuuuld get something like a hyper212 evo later because I have a similar fan and it gets loud as *** while under load.
But you're probably a magnitude amount of times better than I am at this LOL
i was able to go into BIOS and lower the fans peed but my idle temps are now around 27 C rather than 8-17 C.
27 c is fine, don't see why you'd be concerned about that. I've seen builds hit 70 c and still work fine.
yeah, but that is according to speed fan, and who knows if that is even correct lol.
I'd say it is perfect.
I would get 2 GB graphics card if it's 1080p, but the monitor looks like some of the ones from school which are 1366 x 768.
What's the mouse & keyboard? Looks nice.
The monitor is a acer x193w+, according to newegg it has a 5ms response time and is 1680 x 1050, not bad for a monitor I got for free with a pentium D machine. The keyboard is a low end logitech g11 I got for $5 at the thrift shop. And the mouse is a low end razor abyssus. It's not in the picture but I got a razer barracuda headset at the thrift store to, guess I just have good luck lol
I'm planning to do a build soon with similar specs, how does it perform?
It performs fine, but i would have definitely gone with a aftermarket CPU cooler from the get go. And a newer GPU.
id recommend overclocking your gpu as it will give a HUGE increase in performance
how much of an OC would you reccomend?
id get msi after burner and try to max out the sliders, but be careful for over heating. if you have trouble theres plenty of youtube videos for your exact graphics card.
nice build although i would of went for the AMD A8 6600K with built in Radeon HD 8570D would of saved you a few quid.
im planning on doing a few big upgrades in a year or so, thus is why i bought the 7850
Bad cable management on the inside of the case, get a few mini-Zip ties and put as many cables back there as you can and it will look a whole lot better.
I know the cable management is terrible but it was the best I could do, everybody was needing that computer to do various things at the time.
I'm just saying, If you clean up those cables it wont look like two cats had a fight in there...
That is exactly what I will do, I was debating a after market cooler but decided against it do to the fact that I was already $200 over budget...
